    There's nothing wrong with your wii.
    If you just have bluewiidiscslotlightphobia then you can just turn it off in the settings menu

    This guy got it right. Messages can contain info on updates, or they can just be messages from anyone that can send messages to your Wii. The light being on is not _only_ a sign of an update.
