Wii to play MP3

looking for a music server to play my PC's mp3 library through my Home Theater (Wii connected).

Can the Wii console be configured as a media server such as a the XBox360 or PS3?

Well, I know that if you download MP3's to your SD card, you can play them through the Photo Channel Version 1.0.

You MUST have Version 1.0, not Version 1.1 which replaces MP3 support with AAC.

Just download Winamp and then install winamp remote.

You can use the Internet channel to stream music from your PC.

Did the winamp DL, got the wii internet as never had before and a couple of minutes later was listening to MP3s.
