    Is the wii up against the wall?

    Make sure the fan isnt blocked by anything, make sure its very well ventilated

    I'm gonna check that out in a sec.

    But anyway, just got off the phone with Nintendo, they're sending out a new system UPS Blue. And if that doesn't work, they'll send out a new AC adapter. The rep I talked to said this has been a big problem and in most of the cases it was a faulty system. The whole ordeal took about 20 minutes. This is why I love Nintendo.

    By 1 hour of gameplay, do you mean EXACTLY one hour, or roughly about 1 hour? And by shutting down, do you mean restarting, or just not working anymore for a period of time? I'm just curious. My guess would be overheating too.

    is ur wii sofmoded/unlocked?
    mines turn off after 2 hours of playing cod black ops and i use usb loader to play.
    do you guys think its because my wii is unlocked that this is happening?
