Ok i dont know if i am just being retarded and can not find another thread about this. My problem is i go into wii shop channel and it has taken an hour and still says connecting but when i go to wii settings and test connection it works perfectly in like 10 seconds. My router is practically new so what should i do.

this could be your connection. try setting your router channel to either 1 or 11. i heard that works to speed up the connection. see, i'm not positive because i ditched my router and use my nintendo usb connector instead. those routers take too much effort to work properly.
