I recently tried to turn my Wii on but, well, it won't. I am willing to buy a new one, but it's a last resort and I want to keep my current mii's and channels.

So it won't turn on via the remote or the button on the console? Do you have a friend that has a Wii? If so, you can try using their power brick to test it. If that works then you need a new power brick, if it doesn't, then it's a problem with the console.

Is the power brick just the box on your power cord?

Sounds like a bad problem... wish I could help you, my advice is to try to turn it on with the Wii remote.

Correct. You could even try pulling the power for like 30 minutes to even over night while you're sleeping, then plugging it back in and try to power it on and see what happens. You could also try plugging it into a ground fault interrupt outlet and tripping/resetting the GFI switch. Folks on other forums have claimed that this works. If not here's Nintendo's contact info:
