NEED HELP! Console in Closet

Hi,
Thank you in advance for anyone who can help.
I researched a lot to find a solution for what I thought would already be available !

I am planning to setup my first Wii ! Wooohooo

Here's the catch... I have a big home theater projector screen and I have all my devices in a closet including the receiver. I need to connect Wii to the receiver connected to a projector but, then the controllers won't work.

I researched and found something called "sensor eyes". Can I use it to run it through the walls from the closet (a distance of 20') ?

If I can't find a solution, I will be very disappointed in the technical advancement mankind has made
