I don't know much about the Wii inside. But, it could be the thing that reads the discs or maybe your discs got f***ed up,.. but, probably your Wii is the one that need a little help to fix the problem. I recommend a specialist.

Either of those, most likely. If you have many different discs, and they all give the error, there're multiple reasons this could happen, which are usually related to the drive itself, or possibly a programming error.

See that thread and read up on it, and you may find the fix you're looking for. I had a similar problem recently, and while I'm in no rush to fix my Wii, that thread gave me some legitimate answers.

Also, if you don't end up fixing your Wii, I highly recommend you send it to Nintendo for repairs. Few places or self-proclaimed "specialists" will give you a cheaper deal without the repair itself being a cheaper job. And if your Wii is still under warranty, even better since Nintendo'll fix it free.

    Clean the disk.

Trying to motivate myself to play: Hat Fortress 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl, and Embodiment of Scarlet Devil.

Buy a Wii Lens Cleaner Kit,it cleans the lens up due to age and dust contamination/cigarette smoke. You should buy the Kit if you bought your Wii before 2009.

It's probably a Laser issue with the Wii since you said everything else works.Wii consoles before 2009 weren't able to read dual-layer discs ex:Super Smash Bros. Brawl, so that's when Nintendo made the Wii Lens Cleaner Kit.

That must be a rumor with little-to-no truth to it, lol. My Wii's an original 2006, and before this issue started between 1-6 months ago, it could read discs fine. Especially Brawl, seeing as I must of logged an hour a day on that fantastic game.
