Wireless connection help needed!

Before posting: Note that my extent of knowledge about computers is I know what a IP address is, I have no Idea what a proxie is or anything like that, so explain throughly.

My Wii has been able to find my houses 2wire access point but it has 1 bar. When I test the service there is a error code. My friend told me something about putting something on a channel 1 or 11. Can someone tell me anything?

P.S. I have even tried literally right next to each other.

P.S.S. I have accessed the internet before through my wii.

ok, in your browser put in 192.168.10.1, then if you haven't change the password it should be admin, then in wireless there should be a channel option, put it in 1 or 11, if it is in 1 change it to 11 and if it is in 11 change it to 1..

Are these settings on the Wii or on your wireless router options on your PC ?


I cant get mine to connect to my wireless either.

So... Its on channel 1, so should I switch to 11?

Well, atleast I think it the channel option, it says Wireless:1
If thats not it should I look under section Home network, Remote access, Broadband link, Firewall, or System?( Its SBC internet )
