today i figured out how to get online and i finally did,but only for about 5 minutes as i checked out the news channel...but when i went to check the weather channel i cudnt get back online and i still havent been able to since then,im wondering since im not being able to get online,y when my Wii is shutoff the light is orange representing i am in Wii connect 24/7,and is gettin the USB thingy to get online wud be an easier solution to my problem?

check your internet settings and then just try getting online at one of your friends house best of luck.

my router,the company is called "actiontec" and the model number is MI424WR

I'm guessing you have this router


The router is compatible with your Wii, it runs on 802.11g which you need and WEP inscription key. Maybe you misspelled the key or the key is not functional. Check for that as well.

Second, check to make sure firewall is not blocking the wii's wireless connection, sometimes they do that. To check for this you have to go to the router's/Ip's website which is http://(Router's Ip) EX: http://192.68.94.18481
