    I think you still have to pay for them, but can send them to a friend as a gift. It mentions something about when the reciept clears, meaning you have to use points first.

    How is it confusing? It's like buying a gift card for someone that can only be used for a specific game. Except that instead of getting an actual physical gift card, it's just done online.
