help with lan adapter

I have a intec lan adapter hooked up to my linksys 5 port hub. When I stop using my online connection on my WII and switch back to my computer to go online it says i have to renew my ip address, i do this by unplugging my broadband modem and plugging it back in. Is there a way to have both my WII and my computer online without having to unplug my modem everytime i switch between them. I'm not that familiair with settings and port address's so if you can help dummy it down for me. thanks I have an arris cable modem

If you want it wired you want a router. It basicaly splits your internet connection into 4 so you can have them all pluhgged in at the same time.

Wireless routers are the same except its wireless.

I just bought a belkin router and it works with my wii 360 and pc
