How do i connect? Need Help

I have a pre-N model wireless router and the wii is not compatible. my usbconnector doesnt work with it either. Can i create a home network through my Dell Inspiron 1520 and go through that or can i buy a cable modem and hook it up right to the wii? or anyother ways?

802.11g is more than sufficient bandwidth for almost everyone's internet connection, at a fraction of the price.

802.11n is bleeding-edge technology for people with home LANs who transfer a tremendous amount of data between their own computers. It does nothing for internet speeds.
