Dont worry Nintendo will never charge you online but... there is a rumor something about Nintendo WI-FI Conection pay & play for Rock band.

i doubt it ... free online is a major selling point for the wii, along with a bunch of games too.

Charging for a sub standard service is a bad idea

If they got it like the 360 online then maybe it would be worth it

i think it would be good after a while but make it pretty cheap or they should just put wii speak on good WIFI games eg Call of duty 4 and 5 or more maps and stuff using wii points that way there is a option you pay wii points for privillages eg maps exlusive content WII SPEAK
i think that would make XBOX eat dirt

It would be worth paying for, IF they do away with the current user host system, and go to a centralized host system.

The current system gives benefit of zero lag to the user that is deemed "host", and everyone else must adapt to dealing with lag. This gives the host advantage.

A centralized host system would mean everyone would have equal amount of lag.
