two routers, one wep, one wpa can i do it?

ok here's the deal i have 4 computeers, the main pc is in my front room and my pc is in my room also my other brother and sister have a laptop each,
i have a wireless router in the front room which gives every one internet but i want to play my dsi online which means i need to change my wireless to wep right??

but cant i put another wireless router in my room and put that as wep and leave the front room router as wpa??

It is possible. If you just connect the internet/WAN port of one router into one of the numbered ports on the other, you can set them up separately. However, if you're going to do this, you might as well just set up your main router for WEP.

By weakening the security at one point of the network, you've created just as big of a hole as to just weaken the security of the whole thing (which is the whole point of WPA)
