oh? i thought it was due to them adding last minute motion sensors and the rumbling would of affected/damaged it. Oo
Why cant they use Rumble while Microsoft/Nintendo can?

That's because it isn't a pointing device, and because of it's design. I mean you can't really use a playstation controller as a baseball bat.Originally Posted by Gymdawg

No, because the "Tilt" is motion sensing. It just doesn't recognize all the motions a wiimote does. This is because of the reason I stated before. The ps3 controller would not work with it's design in the way a wiimote does. It can't be held multiple ways.Originally Posted by Homesrfan
but yes as far as how they use motion sensors, they work the same, one just not as versatile.

I'm not sure of the specifics of the trial, but at least with he PS3 they can't use rumble because it would shack the gyroscope and risk screwing up the plane your flying or the car your driven in whatever game you're playing.Originally Posted by PtonJalken

are you sure thought sonys controller were different as in only tilt controll as in the x and y axis and the points in between them as in wii it goes all directionsOriginally Posted by vagrant
No, it's because they got sued.Originally Posted by Gymdawg
There was a video of a guy using a PS, PS2, or DC (can't remember which one) with a tilt controller and... I think it had rumble. It can be done.

Sony wished that they made the wiimote in that pic. tsk tsk
