Well since PS3 got blu-ray with a crapload of space I'm starting to see a lot of MMO's and ever since my computer crashed I have not been a PC gamer and have been craving for some of the titles I'm really glad I'm getting a PS3.

In response to Microsoft's Xbox Live network, Sony announced a unified online service for the PlayStation 3 console at the 2006 PlayStation Business Briefing meeting in Tokyo. Sony has confirmed that the service will be always connected,[82] free and include multiplayer support. However, developers are permitted to charge a subscription fee, as is common with MMO games.


This just made me hate PS3 all over again someone tell me it's not true

You want free MMO's ? Good ones are rare. In the case of MMO's, you really do get what you pay for. Costs a lot to keep servers up that can hold thousands and thousands of people.

The charge for MMO's are pretty cheap anyways 12USD~ a month? its not going to kill you.

Yeah well I guess I just hope it's really easy to pay for it.

Afaik consoles have always charged for MMO's... Not that I can think of many console MMO's, but still.
