MGS3 Online No More

They finally closed the servers for Metal Gear Solid 3 Online. The last hours were mostly populated by super hackers racking up 30:1 kill to death ratios. Aside from that the game was one of the key reasons for playing online with the PS2. I hope Sony continues this with MGS4. I also hope Konami addresses the issues of hackers, and keeps the servers open for more than a year next time around.

This was a great online PS2 game. It will be missed.

unfortunately, the PS3 will be a double edged sword. Because its open ended and will allow for user made content and custom firmwares... it will be easier for cheaters to hack games, but this just means that the game companies will need to impliment more hack proof games and servers.
