Is a playstation 3 memory stick really required?
At Amazon they are selling a 8 GB stick for $ 95.00 plus s/h.
A steep price, (JMO) and I'm playing without one right now.

Unless you have some music on it or move your game files to different consoles pretty often there is no real use for it. And for the price you can easily buy a portable HD with tons of more space.Originally Posted by Game_Pro

No, the PS3 has a hard drive that's either 20GB, 40GB, 60GB or 80GB (depending on the model you purchased), so there's absolutely no point in purchasing a memory stick.

or unless you have a PSP. not sure how this works (wirelessly im assuming) but you can play ps1 games on a psp. so im assuming you could also load the games onto that 8mb stick and put them directly into your psp. as well as music and vids and thats basically why youd need a memory stick... psp features/saves.Originally Posted by zeon9881
