On an unrelated note, if I were to do a Nuzlocke run through of a generation 1 game (most likely would be Yellow now) would I be able to use a Snorlax? Does it count as the first pokemon you encounter in an area? What about Lapras, as you get given that?
Pokemon you receive/interact to battle with can indeed count as the first Pokemon of a given area. So yeah, both Lapras and Snorlax are viable for a Nuzlocke Single... Though, not particularly good, since you can't get 'em until very late in the challenge; especially Lapras.

Hm... Perhaps I should allow trading in Pokes for Gen 1 games, even if they're not eggs. Otherwise, we'll never see challenges with Pokes like Lapras or Pinsir. Not that many people have two RBY games, two GBs, and a trade cable though.

Ahhh the good old days, I can remember when I traded with my friend I always held the cable, hoping to feel the pokeballs. That was certainly ages ago

    GOML brah!
3 GBCs, all 3 generation 1 games and a trade cable...
In fact, I'm going to do a Gen 1 playthrough of a Single/Nuzlocke with a Lapras if you allow it... I assume this Lapras has to be level 5 right?

Lucario with Crunch has made Celestial Tower a breeze. Currently on the 3rd floor. He's level 47, I believe.

Lost 3 Pokemon. Havng a Roggon thing with Sturdy is the best thing ever.
