I've seen worse, I also used to think Rotom was a legend. I know a guy who thinks freaking Spiritomb and Lucario are legendaries.

Lucario tends to be rare but you just find Riolus littered all over a specific joint anyway. The reason I mistook Rotom as a legendary as I believed that you could only catch one in Diamond and Pearl. Kind of the same goes for all the starters though, can only get one in a run. Spiritomb? I don't even remember where you could catch one. There was a specific area you could though but can't quite remember.
Back on-topic after this?

Emerald or Platinum/Heart Gold/Soul Silver. If you do even manage Silver in all the facilities, you'll earn my respect for not spewin' a bunch of bullshit. Get Gold in all, and... well, I'll ****in' die of shame since I've yet to accomplish that.
As Nick said, it's not legendary. ... Even though it's one of a kind in-game, can't breed, and has the legendary battle music. Really misleadin', yeah?I also thought Rotom was legendary until someone pointed it out. In fact, that person was a Wiichatter (not that I remember who).
It's stats are pretty average too; until it changes into it's alternate "appliance" forms. In Platinum and games onwards, Rotom can change form by possessing electrical appliances outside of battle. This changes all of it's stats besides HP. It hits a lot harder, it's defenses go up A LOT, and it's speed drops as a price. It's entire stat total is a decent amount higher than normal Rotom though, so it's alternate forms are tons better. Not to mention it's type changes based on what it possesses (as a lawn mower it becomes Grass/Electric type, as a Washing machine it becomes Water/Electric) and gets a usually powerful new move for it's new type like Air Slash, Hydro Pump, or Blizzard. Washing machine Rotom's typing and new move (Hydro Pump) are particularly appealing to the point that it's one of the most used Pokemon in OU these days.

Pokemon of the Week #5 (8/5/2012)
Sableye
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wi...(Pok%C3%A9mon)
Sableye, the Darkness Pokemon. These lead quiet lives deep inside caverns. They are feared, however, because these Pokémon are thought to steal the spirits of people when their eyes burn with a sinister glow in the darkness. Sableye digs the ground with sharpened claws to find rocks that it eats. Substances in the eaten rocks crystallize and rise up to the Pokémon's body surface. They are also known as pranksters.
Oh my god I love Sableye. But, um, let's hold off on me fangasming and talk about how its battle performance is. Which is also pretty awesome. The most unique thing about Sableye is its fantastic Dark/Ghost typing, making it the original (and most useful) Pokemon with no weaknesses. It also has a fantastic movepool, and an amazing ability in Prankster. Those less then desirable stats do prevent it from being one of the best Pokemon in the game, but it's still pretty damn good. Due to the priority granted to non attack moves by Prankster, it can fire off high speed Will o wisp, Trick, Recover, Taunt, and even more. Although generally considered a stalling/support Pokemon, it can sweep to an extent, using priority Calm Mind, Recover, attack moves like Shadow Ball, Hidden Power Dark, and Hidden Power Fighting. Will o wisp is also used on these attacking sets sometimes.
In Generation 3, Sableye was an average Pokemon, but it had a good niche in being the only Pokemon with no weaknesses. However, in Generation 4 Spiritomb mostly outclassed Sableye due to higher defensive and offensive stats, and identical typing. If it wasn't for Prankster, Sableye would still be outclassed. But let it be said that even without Prankster, Sableye still has some perks over Spiritomb, mainly a superior movepool. Sableye gets Recover, Fake Out, and some other moves that Spiritomb doesn't have. Sableye is also faster, but this doesn't really matter much.
Sableye is my second favorite Pokemon ever, after Sharpedo. Its in game sprites and official artwork is cool, but what really makes me like it is its movements in Pokemon 3D games. It sways its hips, grins after taking a hit, and just has overall badass and quirky movements. Not many other people seem to like it as much as I do, but the animation is a large reason I like Sableye so much. I also like how it looks like a ghost goblin, and takes inspiration from an alien encounter. And those freaking awesome crystal eyes can only help.
Totally wasn't RNG'd this time, hehe.
