Perhaps if Genetics plays a role Deoxys might be involved, however I kind of doubt it due to it being event exlusive. Not surprised about the Mewtwo Megas being version exclusives. Y seems to have the better ones :l

I have to say Im really liking Froakie's evolution and Fennekin's( I like the witch theme it seems to have going on) I can't wait to see where it's final stage goes. I also like Pyroar and Meowstic. A lot of the Pokemon I feel have been designed pretty well this time around.

Seems like Serebii always misses some small details, like that there fossil restoration facility.

Genetics will play a role in the plot. Trollfreak's been leadin' us on too long for it not to.

... But yeah, I s'pose that's a valid point. 'Less trollfreak wants t' completely and utterly destroy the value of the (already overly distributed) 'mon, Deoxys won't be makin' an appearance. T'is unfortunate, as I'd like t' see Deoxys get involved in a main game's story. Get some more lore outta the space virus 'mon.

At the very least, we haven't seen a Vanillu-- oh wait... _

Jokes aside, I agree. After BW's designs eventually grew on me, I've learned t' be much less judgmental on new Pokes. Lookin' past the natural bias against change really is mighty eye-openin'.

tho i dont rly liek pyroar tbh

I'm guessing they're more than likely going to switch more move types eventually?

It's essentially an Ice-type version of the Normalize ability, 'cept actually useful. Well, assumin' Amaura has a usable Atk stat when fully evolved. Don't know what Special Normal-type moves would be more useful than good ol' Ice Beam. Though I ain't too sure what useful Physical Normal-type moves it could make use of... the only thing that comes t' mind is Facade, but it doesn't have Guts and therefore Facade abuse @ Orb is almost outta the question, as Toxic Orb is a dangerous thing t' mess with.

Speakin' of theorymon-ing, I wonder how useful Mega Garchomp will be. It's Speed is gettin' lowered in exchange for a (presumably large) boost to it's Sp.A, as well as Atk. Don't think it'l be used as a sweeper 'cause'a the Speed drop. Perhaps it could be used as a hole-puncher by abusin' Outrage and uninvested Draco Meteor. Sand Force-boosted EQ off of Mega Garchomp's bolstered Atk stat is also terrifying, even moreso than non-CB Landorus. Grounded Fairy-types beware.

IIRC there hasn't been any moves that switched type since Gen 1.

EDIT: It seems Curse changed to an actual type in Gen 4... well whatever, I was close enough.

I was lurking here during my hiatus and I had to resist coming on to correct Dirge.

You're forgetting about Return, which has a power of 102+ at max happiness, the "+" being there because Refrigerate is said to power up moves, not sure if it just means STAB or an actual power boost. Body Slam, which has 85+ base power, is not only cool for being more accurate than Icicle Crash, but it has a neat 30% paralysis chance. Amaura looks like the type to learn Body Slam, as well. Double Edge, which a lot of stuff learns, has a huge 120+ base power, which would be especially nice if Amarua has a high HP stat, which it likely does, looking at its design.

And then there's ExtremeSpeed, whic-- okay now I'm just joking

I'm assumin' it'l learn Avalanche, so I neglected to mention Return 'n Double-Edge.

Though ya've a valid point with Body Slam if Amaura has any bulky... and a decent Attack stat.

Avalanche is iffy, with that negative priority and its maximum power being activated by taking a hit on the turn its used. Who knows, maybe Amaura is the new Venusaur/Claydol/etc; looks slow but has a decent speed.

Avalanche is underrated, that's what it is. 120 BP with perfect accuracy ain't no joke behind an invested stat.
