Well I tended to use it with a fire move that hits everything on the field, then I find that the opponenet aims for the weak pokemon with a fast poskemon, that's when protect comes in to allow a second fire attack. Then comes the tatical switch of scizor to aerodactyl. There's even more to this idea but it's all to tatical and i'll need to find my prezentation on it.

I can clearly see the head to body ratio difference

You're basing it off of 3 Pokemon.

I am pretty sure that the average Gen 1 pokemon has the proper head to body ratio

I am pretty sure that with each generation that ratio started going more chibi

I'd have to actually look at the Pokedex to counter your point.....but I'd also have to do that to believe it.
