I like the old Japanese look
this new Japanese look is too chibi (small bodies big heads)
Well I tended to use it with a fire move that hits everything on the field, then I find that the opponenet aims for the weak pokemon with a fast poskemon, that's when protect comes in to allow a second fire attack. Then comes the tatical switch of scizor to aerodactyl. There's even more to this idea but it's all to tatical and i'll need to find my prezentation on it.

I don't mind the chibi style. I'm pretty sure that's how they always looked.
You're basing it off of 3 Pokemon.
I'd have to actually look at the Pokedex to counter your point.....but I'd also have to do that to believe it.
I meant to trainer's chibi look.
