Could'a swore cuttin' standard tall grass was only possible in the retro games, but Nick is correct. They had it in the game up 'til Gen 3... not that it was ever useful.

Confused me with that right there, and then referred to XY without namin' the games.

All the pros I mentioned still apply t' XY, not that I can see the future and whether or not the game's plot will be good like BW's. The pro mentionin' good tunes is also more notable since 3DS music doesn't really have any limits past Pokegames delt with, be it in audio capabilities or lack of memory for higher quality tunes. And speakin' of, the soundtrack is 200+ tunes strong IIRC.

Since the game ain't released yet, there ain't many more pros or cons (if any) that can be listed.

I doubt we'll know all the Pokemon right away. Which means that I'll have to play this largely blind, at least as far as the Pokemon themselves are concerned.

I'm conflicted about whether to be happy or sad about this. On one hand, it'll be fun to see new Pokemon firsthand. On the other hand, it'll make my roster decisions even more difficult than they already are.

Spoilers are the worst thing ever. Clearly the fact that we'll have t' encounter most species to learn of 'em is a good thing.

Its will be awesome to train charmander or Bulbasaur or Squirtle

Yep you either a choice to train either charmander or Bulbasaur or Squirtle from your Professor Sycamore
Yes you either a choice to train either Fennekin or Chespin or Froakie from your friend

So you get train 2 pokemon straight from beginning instead starting with one pokemon ,

Get 3rd pokemon a choice from black or white using pokemon transporter

Get 4th pokemon a choice from black2 or white2 using pokemon transporter

Pokémon transporter only comes available when you purchase pokemon bank
