id have to say OoT, but i kind of like the Dr. Mario/Pokemon Puzzle League music.

There is this game that Sega released in 95 called The Ooze. It's on a disk for playstation that's like a best of Sega. It has just about all the sonics.


But The Ooze, that's where it's at. Bad ass riffs in that game




But seriously I think Final Fantasy has had some awesome music. Especially final boss areas/battles

the Chrono Trigger tune brings back memories too, music is so under-rated in games its SOOOO important I find all these great tunes were what put all these masterpiece games over the top. However this site we have been posting tunes from isnt all that great, the songs are re-made and do not sound exactly like they did on the original game. After looking at this thread I have been downloading some original soundtracks from favorite games off torrents and they are flawless.

Sega rules when it comes to video game soundtracks- Jet Set Radio, Streets of Rage, Comix Zone and Rez are superb examples. Also among my faves are the Metroid games, the music is so atmospheric and really helps give the games their "isolated" feel.

The best music I have ever heard were last Generation (also fifth generation)..and was Dragon Quest VII....or Zelda OOT...Dark Cloud series had amazing music...OH and Tales of Smphonia had great music too! I could list hundreds...but those are the best I think....Zelda TP had some great music but nothing spectacular...just a lot of old music from OOT...which was nice...but its still OOT music!
