I have the best secret to beating this with eeze

When you play, pick Luigi, and get a running start when you can, and just duck and jump/slide, this will go very quickly and in most levels will save your butt.
Especially in world 2 level 1, the ice one were all the monkey things with tridents come after you "forgot what they are called"
It works pretty well and I beat it while ducking almost the whole time

I always thought you were supposed to use Toad. His strength is picking things up faster than the other characters.
