The original one is 9 volts ac meaning any adapter will work either DC or AC assuming it can supply enough power.

i wasnt around in the nes day i have never played one except the virtual console games...is there even a slight diffrence between the 2??(othern then the obviouse reason that ones is on a retro console and one is on the wii)!!!!!
The biggest difference is the controller.
Second is that you don't have to blow on your virtual console games to get them working ......

how old is it? it should work with anything
CURRENTLY MAKING THE FOLLOWING FOR REP!!!
-Signatures
-Avatars
...Also go Denver Broncos!!!
In my opinion, on the original system is way more fun. The controller is awesome, and it just feels more... retro.

ok chhers for the advice...i might buy and old one nes off ebay or something???
Shouldn't be hard to find. If you buy one I suggest getting a rewritable cartridge to save the roms on.
If you like joysticks try and get a "NES Advantage"
