They bloody well are.
>Say this fighting game will have no sequel
[QUOTE=WiiAssasin;1182079]Capcom not really a great example. Marvel 3 is a great game, is it not? And they are giving discounts to those who haven't purchased the game yet.[/QUOTE
You proved my case. If its such a good game than why are we getting a new version within months? Its not like theres any broken characters. Yeah theres 12 new characters, but half of them arent even who we wanted. They didnt even add megaman x ( a major sin). Sugar coat it if you want but at the end of the day money is the goal.

So... it's NOT a good game?
IMO its great so there realy wasnt any reason to update within the year. I like Marvel and I WILL buy UMVC3 but sheesh, they could let us spend some more time w/ the vanilla version before sending out a new one. Its turned all capcom fighter fans into skeptics on there future fighting series.
Whatever, at least it made EVO..........
Didn't street fighter 2 have a similar release schedule? It always seemed that variations of the same game have been a staple for capcom fighting games. For street fighter, that is; maybe they're trying the same with MvC
Yep, some fighting games are notorious for releasing new versions on disc that simply aren't worth the full price; and no, the trade-in price for your old disc doesn't make getting the new one worth it either. 'Least such game series' aren't as bad as every sports game by EA though. A new version every year with updated graphics... Yeah.
If only games were more like Red Dead... It's gotten 6~ DLCs (half of which were free I believe, and one which received best DLC of the year), and you were never required to buy another disc. These DLCs were core changes or additions to gameplay as well, not just a few new characters like in MvC Ultimate's case. Cost less, got more.
Wasn't UMvC's expansion as a seperate game due to the earthquake or something?
And Seth killian never really answered WHY we were getting it so soon Wiiassasin. He said it was complicated but had something to do with the correlation with Marvel and Capcom release schedules.
BlazBlue is doing the same thing with their franchise though their fans have their noses too high in the air to admit it.
maybe there is a reason for all this maybe they where low on budget that they couldn't afford these things my guess
