ok, just watched so now i can give a proper response. although i will say, i have no clue where they're getting Gustav from, since in Minish Cap he's simply refered to as the legendary hero or hero of men. he was never named so where they get Gustav is a question i'd like answered.

now as for the theory: the most prominent one(which is what i believe) places Minish right before 4swords. its opening legend coming right after OoT, referencing the war Ganon waged. it makes perfect sense even within that theory as well because they even speak of this supposed war. all the legend really states is a hero defeated the evil with the 4sword, it never said anything else. this could mean that the evil resurfaced and attacked again. after the hero had died.

as for TP, the only thing i say they got wrong was placing it too close to WW. i'd say its like 10-20 years after OoT but still 50-90 years before WW.



technically none of this really matters because it still brings up a point i made earlier: what would his moves be because other then his sword, nothing is said of his powers or abilities.

Actually I thought that now that Twilight Princess' whole story is knwon it's somewhere in what they called Hyrule A. And either after all in Hyrule A except before Oracles of Ages/Seasons or maybe even after that, I'd have to play through it again to refresh my memory. As for the rest of it I agree with whole-heartedly, especially Minish Cap being the first Zelda in the timeline. About war you were talking about though, it could've easily been the one Gustav fought in an bacame king. Oh and Miyamoto provided the name Gustav, sorry I didn't mention earlier. I thought I remembered that little detail being in the video too.

As for his moveset, I'm thinking it up now, don't want to write anything down till I got a decent one going on that isn't a rip-off of the other sword-weilding characters.

Any comments on my Ninten moveset? I tried to make him clearly residing from the Mother series with his moves, yet more different from Ness and Lucas are to each other. That took a while.

Character moveset time!

Character: Ninten

Game: Mother 1

Appearance: Similar to Ness, but his hair is a bit longer with bangs swishing to the right side of his face just above his eyes. His hat is facing with the bill forward like a cap usually is worn instead to the side like Ness'. His shirt is striped like Ness and Lucas's but colored red and blue instead of Ness's blue and yellow or Lucas's yellow and red. Around his neck he wears a red bandana, haning on the front and tied on the back. His shorts are a dark greyish color and his shoes are red. Also, his hat looks different from Ness's. The bill looks more like the bill of a normal hat and is grey instead of blue, but the rest of it is red like Ness's. And if you look closely you can see the faded handdrawn "NINTEN" he wrote on the front. Also his weapon of choice is the bat, which would later be used by Ness in Mother 2/Earthbound.

Moveset: Ninten relys more heavily on his bat for phyisical attacks than Ness, so even when not attacking he keeps it out, as if a sword.

a: hits with butt of bat
aa: a short kick
aaa: after the kick, or should I say during, he spins around greeting his enemy with his bat using the force of the spin.

light over a: Sort of a jab with the tip of the bat
hard over a: full swing, same as Ness
light up a: a light swing of the bat over his head
hard up a: does a frontflip without hardly leaving the ground and uses the force of the spin to swing his bat
light down a: a weak low kick
hard down a: Sweep with the bat

a while walking: light bat swing
a while running: jumps forward with a kick

aerial a: a jab without the bat
aerial aa: a kick
aerial aaa: an "uppercut" with the bat

aerial over a: bat spin
aerial up a: flips upside down and gives a strong upwards kick
aerial down a: While charging he looks downward with his bat held above his head, then brings it down with great force.

b: PK Hypnosis- tap b repeatidly to emit waves of hypnotizing psyco-kenetic energy. The more you hit b the stronger the effect. Those who come in contact with the PKE waves get hypnotized into a sleep-like trance. If only done for a short time they'll wake up almost soon after falling asleep.

B up: PK Fire- For Ness and Lucas, PK Fire was over B and it was used to shoot a spark of psyco-kentic fire at an enemy using pyrokinesis. For Ninten however, he uses it as a close range attack when on the ground and a recovery move while airbourne. On the ground, Ninten points one hand ahead of him, and the other behind him, and emits a short and powerful burst of flames from each hand, damaging enemies in front and from behind him. While airbourne, he thrusts his hand downward and gives off a burts of fire propelling him upward. It only lifts him a small bit, but while airbourne this move can be used 3 times consecuatively, each time raising him higher. After 3 times, he can no longer use any attacks till he lands like every other character after using a recovery move.

B over: PK Thunder- Ninten sends out a small spark of psyco-kenetic elictricity that sticks to an opponent. It then deals out a small amount of damage to whoever it's stuck to every 5 seconds within the 15 second time period it stays on an enemy. This move is good for obtaining openings for attacks or if he's trying to get back on stage.

B down: PSI Sheild- same as Ness or Lucas except it causes damage if touched.

Final Smash: Eight Melodies- Ninten takes center stage as his friends Lloyd, Ana, and Teddy appear and join him. Togeter they sing (not really sing, more like acappella "Oh"s) the Eight Melodies song that helped them defeat Giguse. During this you must hit the attack button at the right time, to the rythm of the song, for maximum damage. None of the enemies will fly off the screen till the short song is over as well as the attack. Depending on how well you did determines whether or not your enemies are KOed.

Here's the Eight Melodies for those unfamiliar with Mother/Earthbound. This is the version that was set to be put in Brawl but got cut.

Taunts: over- scrates head, up- looks at screen and transforms into original sprite then back again, down- readys bat like he's about to hit a ball

I love it... But only if he replaces Lucas. I like Earthbound, A LOT, but I'm kind of annoyed that they're getting MORE reps than other, more important Nintendo franchises (Metroid, and tie with Donkey Kong).
A lot of people didn't even know about Earthbound until the original Smash Bros. came out.

Also, how's this for a character (or more likely assist): Linebeck!
I cannot even begin to fathom the hilarious possibilities.

Oh indeed it is. This thread is the closest thing I have to a "pride and joy", something that I can say I made. WMBQ may have his plot, and you yours, but this is MY HOUR OF GLORY!!!

unless you're refering to the Forbiddon 7's "Toon Zelda" which we believe would become Tetra.

you want to know someone I really want in? a Gundam, any of the main Gundam's would do. just severely downsize those giant@$$ robos and give them a decent moveset and boom, perfect addition. I might make a moveset later if people want me to.

everything the same as original except smash attack and on down b you just change back and forth between the three masks (deku, goron, and zora) to no mask again

Smash Attack: Link dons the Fierce Deity Mask and is almost invulnerable to damage and does tons of damage with each sword hit. It lasts for a limited amount of time

Deku Child

A: spin attack in place
A + right or left
(at same time): headbutt
A while moving
left or right: Spin attack
A + down: Low Headbutt\spin thingy
A + up: High headbutt

B: Build a bubble and hold to get get bigger until you shoot
or the bubble explodes
B + right or left: shoot deku nut in either direct hold to power up
B while moving
Left or right: headbutt into ground like Donkey Kong does
B + up: use flower petals to fly. While flying press A to drop Deku bombs
B + down: change mask

Smash Attack: deku child makes a bubble which envelops opponent in front of you. Deku Child thens makes a huge bubble which explodes propelling everyone else offstage



Goron

A: hit with fist combo 3 times
A + right or left: Strong punch
(at same time)
A while moving
left or right: fall onto opponent
A + down: backspin punch
A + up: high punch

B: power up punch like Donkey Kong
B + right or left: rolls into a spike ball for a small period of time kinda like sonic and
yoshi
B while moving
Left or right: grab then headbutt repeatedly
B + up: rolls into a ball and does the spin thing like samus
B + down: change mask
Smash Attack: Goron grabs opponent in front of him. He pounds him onto the ground. Goron rolls into spike ball and stays in one place on top of person while rolling and the oppent suffers damage and then shoots out behind goron in direction goron is not facing

Zora

A: hits with fins for 3 hit combo
A + right or left
(at same time): strong fin attack
A while moving
left or right: hits with fins
A + down: low round kick
A + up: High fin attack

B: hold fins in front of chest charges and shoots like links bow but
Stronger and comes back
B + right or left: does the fast thing kinda like fox and falco
B while moving
Left or right: does flying kick
B + up: does like marth and jumps up but instead of hiting people with a
sword he hits with his fins
B + down: change mask

Smash Attack: Zora shoots boomerang fins to catch foe and then unleashes a series of various bombardments and hits against foe and sends him flying off screen

This would be the coolest supersmash bros character ever to me
