stickers and trophies

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what is the purpose of trophies and stickers?? Just to collect and look at and make photo albums with or something? Do people actually do that?

They are basically just for fun and look, but they also show and tell some history of nintendo and its characters (And Sega/Konami). And yes, you can take pictures with them, which has no use, but can be fun sometimes. Also, stickers can be used in the Subspace Emissary for Add-ons (Such as Attack, defense, resistance)
