Why Cant I Do A Smash Taunt!!

Ok I do exactly what it says and I cant do It
Im useing a GC Controller
As soon as I click the bottom taunt bottom I click A right?!?!
Someone help
And Yes I know who I can do it with and what stage amd w/e

Are you using Snake on Shadow Moses/Starfox Characters on Lylat?

If your using the GC controller, try lightly tapping the +Control pad. Or you can do what I did and press down on the control pad like crazy really fast. I eventually got it.

If you tap Down repeatedly on the GC D-pad, you should get it to work. It only works once per match, and if you get hit before the codec convo begins, it won't work.

In Melee, the Star Fox trick used alternating left and right on the D-pad. I think this will still work for the Star Fox characters, but maybe not Snake. It still works on Melee Stage Corneria, also.
