    'Course not. If the amount of frames a character spends jumpin' out of a footstool is increased enough, there won't be time t' aerial.

    But it the speed and range of the attack is increased then it would work. Sakurai wouldn't make the time after a footstool unbearably long or else the opponent could react after the footstool before the initiator can.

    Opponents could drop faster after a footstool as well, rendering a follow-up aerial impossible to hit without puttin' yourself at risk; 'less ya have a double jump handy.

    Aerial footstools are meant for gimping/a hilarious way to recover if your opponent derps with an off-stage edgeguard, not comboing. A small mechanic change could unintentionally remove footstool spiking.
