Why do they need to represent gen 3?

I just said it wasn't a big deal....this is the best way to represent Gen III and V, in my opinion, if the developers wished to do so. Granted they'd probably go about it in a different way, but I consider this the best option, and not only due to fanboyism.

Is lucario not a suitable representative?

Lucario is Gen IV...

Why would they have any need to represent the less popular to that extent? Pikachu, pokemon trainer, and jigglypuff are all 1st gen, all popular, and all different, correct? That's 3 out of 4 reps from a single generation, yes? Why is more needed from other gens that are not as popular?

Wynaut? They obviously have some interest in representing the current gen (Pichu and Lucario, but Pichu is a better example), and although Gen III isn't the current gen, it's the only one to not be represented.

Bah humbug... Lucario came in as a representative bc the pokemon movie with him in it (who's name idk bc there are far too many for me to keep track) was the last one to release prior to smash, and it gave him popularity. I'm not really understanding why Sableye, out of all the Gen 3 pokes, would be a representative for it.

Because there's not any other notable Pokemon that would fit in N's roster, imo. In my recent post here (that somehow lacked Jirachi, but my point stands), I explained this. Sableye is just notable enough to be usable by N, and if it was in Mawile would be dragged in too. The fact that they're the only Gen III Pokemon that wouldn't be awkward being on the same team and would be able to be playable (aka they don't have Ridley syndrome, only Ridley syndrome to a worse extent), is my reasoning.

Sableye is fairly notable, since it has no weaknesses, represents all three Hoenn games with its gems, etc. I'm not saying it's like Deoxys or Lucario, but it's above average in terms of notability. So even if you don't agree with my arguments, you're wrong in saying that Sableye is "by no means a notable pokemon".

I'm on the verge of stopping since nobody gets my point at all. :c

He's not notable dude... Having no super effective weakness doesn't just make him noticeable... He's not popular with the younger crowd, namely those who watch the show, ergo he wouldn't make it in the game.

The question is really what Pokemon N should use if he's in the game, which I think should incorporate Gen III Pokemon, since they have no reps yet. Until somebody suggests a viable alternative for his 3 Pokemon, then I'm sticking with my opinion (which is so far the option that makes the most sense). I understand that Sableye/Mawile by themselves wouldn't be playable, but under a viable trainer I don't see what the issue is.

Once again, my ideas:

Keldeo/Sableye/Mawile
Victini/Sableye/Mawile
Meloetta/Sableye/Mawile

Personally I'm in favor of the Victini one, but all would work.
