He could, but N does use a lot of pre Gen V Pokemon too. It's a matter of opinion, and I think they should add some Gen III reps if they have the chance.

If they're plannin' Gen 3 remakes, Game Freak might approach Ninty 'bout gettin' Gen 3 Pokemon/trainer(s) in. Nick is therefore goin' crazy 'bout them 'mons he's a fanboy over.

If a new Pokemon character gets in, Gen 5 is also likely since there's no representative.

The reason Lucario got in is 'cause he was one of Gen 4's mascots since he was one'a the few revealed prior to Gen 4's release. The fact he was popularized by the movie also helped his chances immensely.

From Gen 3. N sure as shit wouldn't be usin' Pokes outside'a Gen 5, bro. If they wanted t' represent Gen 3 enough to dictate the Pokes a trainer would use, N wouldn't get in and Ruby/Sapphire would likely get the slot ('specially since said names aren't half stupid as Red ).

... Also, Sableye ain't notable. At all. Mawile and Sableye's relation as a related pair'a Pokes is also just that; they're related, not intertwined at all outside'a stats and typing. Both'a 'em wouldn't happen to represent Gen 3. Ever.

....I did legitimately think that my idea was good before, but now I'm just being biased about it, sorry. ^^; Sableye should still be in somehow.

You don't know that N wouldn't use Gen III Pokemon.

Nope. You're a noob if you think that. It has a lot of unique traits, and while it may not be super popular, it's still a unique Pokemon that's quite notable. =/

....so Politoed, Lanturn, Tentacruel, Omastar, Kabutops, Starmie, Ninetales, Arcanine, Rapidash, Shiftry, Ninjask, Leafeon, Hippowdon, Gastrodon, Rhyperior, Scizor, Cradily, Armaldo, Abomasnow, Cloyster, Mamoswine, Froslass, and Glaceon aren't pre Gen V? Huh. Learn somethin' new every day.

]It just doesn't fit his character. He'd definitely use Gen V. It'd make as much sense as Red usin' Mudkip/Grovyle/Blaziken just 'cause a RSE remake is on the way.

Uniqueness or good design don't mean it's notable. Notable means it's either hugely popular and well known, really important to the series or the star of a bloody movie.

Literally every Gym Leader, Champion etc. uses non-native Pokes post-game. They really don't count.

Red doesn't use a f-ckton of Pokemon, though. He has a set team.

    Not in my definition.

....alright, let's stop talking about this. So what's the deal with Poke Ball Pokemon? Should we get more from previous gens too, or just add ones from Gen V?

Both. There're obviously plenty'a retro and 3rd/4th Gen Pokes that'd be cool Pokes t' add. There ain't many Fightin' types that work like an assist trophy character; rather than just spammin' a move aimlessly, they actually target an enemy and attack. Like Raiden or Little Mac. Gallade, Hitmonlee (since Chan would just be the Pokemon version of the aforementioned boxer assist...) etc. would work perfectly.

Obviously a bunch'a Gen 5 Pokes will get in as well.

    MAGIKARP

'Sides the aforementioned Fighting types, more Electric types. I mean shit, they took Raikou out but kept Suicune 'n Entei in. In fact, they should return all the Pokes that were in Melee but removed... 'Specially since two of 'em were legendary Electric types. _

In particular, I want Pokes t' appear that use moves yet to be seen in Smash. For example, Arbok with Bind. Arbok would derp 'round the stage 'till it decides to lunge at someone. If they get caught, they'l be snared and slowly take damage like in a grab. It won't be nearly as deadly as Gulpin in terms of damage, but the constriction lasts longer and when hit they'd take the knockback and Arbok would be stunned for a short moment (so that the attacker, if not the one who threw the Pokeball, isn't punished for attackin' the person Arbok was omnomnom'in on). Arbok would also constrict multiple foes 'fore leavin'.

I'd like t' see a lot more non-legendary Pokes in general as well t' offset the amount that're in Brawl. More Dragon types 'specially. Flygon for example, could whip up a nasty Sandstorm which slowly damages foes, though the damage racks up dramatically quicker if they're really close t' Flygon. It'd also have a slight vacuum effect. Essentially it'd be a not-so-****in' devastating Sacred Fire, though it'd be impossible to outright avoid.

Darkrai needs t' be a Pokeball 'mon. Fire off a huge barrage'a Dark Void. falcon pawnches will proceed to be landed

I'd like more Bug and Ghost types, since we're lacking those. Also:

    -Sableye
    -Sharpedo
    -Stunfisk

    ....you get the point. ^^;
