I mean, the way I described myself was something along the lines of: "Hey, I bet I could beat you, I can beat all of my friends online!" It feels somewhat *******-ish now, in hindsight, since that really downplays what I have done... Or would it have been worse to actually try and represent myself as being an excellent player, like I kind of am... despite everyone's opinion of me... I still have problems with the 'hurting people's feelings with condescension' vs honesty debate.
Money and poorly documented esports? Certainly nothing can go wrong.
... But deceiving a casual really is unforgivable. When I was a Yugihoe hustler, I wasn't makin' like a Rare Hunter and swindlin' children or casuals. Only to assholes who've done the very same to someone from my trade circle. Swindlin' a casual is morally the same as stealin' from an idiot (also just as easy).
A card hustler stole got $30 cards from my bro even when I told my bro not to trade.
Though when he bought those cards they were like a dollar but a month later when a deck using that card did the best at tournys the price shot up rapidly.
