    Yep, t'was my initial idea with the whole special canceling/switching idea: that they'd heavily focus on chaining moves through heavy usage of both canceling and switchin' to either start deadly combos or end 'em with some extra bite.

    Bein' able to switch without actually performin' a move would be a good idea, but I ain't sure it's enough. Even if you switch the moment the CPU is taken aside for a combo, and you DI properly, they can just turn around after knockin' you off the stage and go for the other, essentially goin' back and forth to rack up damage. There's always the chance they'l try t' edgeguard as well. Maybe if the non-cancelled character switch (a raw taunt on the ground or in the air) was literally instantaneously and you could act immediately outta it, that'd work.

    Having the same moveset and combo'ing by switching is an already high ceiling. Having different moves would raise it beyond need or want.

    By using Pichus...
    Think about it. They wouldn't have to create new voices.

    Anyway, you should come up with the 2 different movesets for Plusle and Minun (it can be just the Specials) and I will come up with one for the Pichu Bros. then we will present our idea's in a PMBR controlled thread. /Not Joking (I really like this idea)

    Here are all the ways to switch the lead Pichu that I can come up with.

    The Buffer Switch: Being able to switch while the other is attacking by pressing a button (Taunt, B, A, or L/R as candidates)
    - Personally I don't like the idea of Taunt as the Buffer Switch because it's out of the way
    - B could to it. It's not too far away.
    - A is probably the easiest to press. Such as Side Tilt -> A Switch -> DACUS. This might be the best option. I can imagine spamming A and having both Pichus Head Butting right after each other.
    - L/R is another good choice because Melee players are used to pressing them fast like. But because of that lack of light press might slow things down. And shielding and Air Dodging could be a problem.

    Helping Hand Switch: If they are together - Side B throws the Non-Player Pichu and makes him the Player Pichu. If they are apart - Side B switches them immediately.

    Quick Attack Switch: The second Pichu becomes the Player Pichu unless canceled.

    Death Switch: If a Pichu dies, the other one becomes the Player Pichu.

    Auto Switch: When a Pichu Throws, the other one automatically becomes the Player Pichu.

    On that note:
    Now that we have an Alt Costume Engine, what characters/costumes do you want to see?
    Here is my list:
    • Rosalina over Peach with a Luma instead of Toad and Star Bits instead of Turnips and stars instead of hearts
    • Skyward Sword Zelda with Harp Taunt and Loftwing in the Victory Animation
    • Conductor Toon Link with a Spirit Tracks kind of Taunt and Victory Animation
    • Outset Toon Link I guess has basically been confirmed
    • Chrom over Marth with a voice over (although that might be pushing it on the legal realm)
    • Vanguard Ike
    • Mr. L over Luigi
    • Eliwood over Roy
    • Magic Armor Link
    • Dry Bowser

    Mr. L is from Paper Mario and is the most likely Luigi outfit from the video's silhouettes, so Dark Peach is an option.

    I want to see Fire Emblem things, but I think they're going to stick to ACTUAL outfits. So yeah, Vanguard Ike. (Without turning him into Steroids Ike)

    Ds22 actually had made strides of advancement in that code however, and is responsible for much of the added costumes being possible as well. In fact, he usually adds the codes himself.

    Dr. Mario's costume was an obvious addition, with Mario's moveset heavily mixed with Melee Dr. Mario's. We didn't want to stop at just giving a costume however, so we've also re-textured his fireball into a megavitamin, with the sound effect as well. His cape's colour was textures in accordance with his costume colour, and Forward smash now is electrical. Those are merely aesthetic changes of course, so they will not impact his gameplay.

    Nonsense. Competitive Smash Bros. is all 'bout mindgames, spacing 'n knowledge. A little button-intensive action is by no means too high of a skill ceiling for a good player... as P:M Lucario proves.
