Any way to fix?

I have a copy of New Super Mario Bros Wii, and everytime I try to play it, right after I hit "start" it says something like "Unable to read." We brought it GameStop, where we bought it, and the guy, clearly not trying to help us, says it's scratched. I always kept it in the box or in the Wii, and its never touched the floor or anything. When you look at it you can't see any scratches. Any help?

idk some video game places have a thingthat fixes scratches but idk looks like ur kinda out of luck on this one shame its a pretty solid game
