Suspend points.

Quick question: is the suspend point saved to the Wii's memory, or is it simply akin to putting the game on pause? I ask because I want to occasionally unplug the Wii to use that outlet for something else, but I do not know if disconnecting the power will cause me to lose my suspend point/progress in the game.

The question I'm getting at is whether the suspend point will be saved if I disconnect the Wii's power.

No worries my friend. I have unplugged the power to my wii several times when stuck waiting to get into the shop and it has never effected my suspend points. Trust me you are safe.

no need to unplug wii if it freezes in internet shop just hold down the power button about 4 or 5 seconds
