Super Mario World Controls (Wavebird)

Anyway way to change to control scheme for Super Mario World using the Wavebird Controller?

The run button is Y (fine)
The Jump Button is B, and the Spin Jump Button is A.

Seems like the Jump button should be A so you can roll your thumb from the run to Jump. It's very awkward to have to hit B while holding down Y.
