New Member Alert! A Few Questions....

Greetings to all @ WiiChat. Managed to bag myself a wii from ebay on friday. Should have it by wednesday..happy happy joy joy!

Have some questions regarding vc games...

1/ If the games are saved to the memory card, is it possible to use a card
reader and transfer them to your pc for backup onto a cd/dvd?

2/ Do they play identical to there original systems (diddy kong racing etc)
    with identical music & SFX?

3/ Read recently that many folk don't believe that games such as Bad fur day
will appear as a vc game because rare sold out to m$. Why then are
other nintendo rare titles on vc?

    Many Thanks

    1. Yes a real waste though since you have to move them from the Wii memory to the SD then to your PC to burn. I just copy mine to the SD as a back up (I see no need for 2 back ups) Note: you can neither save to or load from the SD card, all saves goes to the Wii memory itself (512 mb)

    2. Yes or at least darn close to it

    3. Rare was bought by MS, any game that Rare made for Nintendo using Nintendo IP is still available to Nintendo (they didn't lose their rights as Rare was using their IP in a "work for hire", however Rare games that use Rare IP, may or may not be available on the VC as that would be MS' call to make (as MS now owns the IP right to those games) Games that Rare made for Nintendo consoles that used third party IP would depend on whether that third party wants to release those games to the VC.
