    How to reset a game?

    Hi all. I seem to be having trouble resetting virtual console games. For example, I input some stupid cheat code on Sonic 2, and now it's in place all the time, even if I reset the VC game and/or turn off the Wii. I have a similar problem with Super Mario Brothers. How can I actually reset the game?

    No, that's the problem. That _doesn't_ do it. Is there no way to actually reset a game?

    my advice would be to delete the VC and redownload it, that should fix any problems, its free to re-download anything you have bought

    though if the cheat has caused an internal error in the programming this wont fix the problem, the only way is just to re-download the VC if this is the case.

    There is an easier way- delete the save file.
