I have my wii hooked to a projector. It runs through a reciever to the projector. The projector and the reciever are connected by a hdmi cable. When I click on a downloaded game the screen goes out, but when I hook the wii directly into the projector I can play the old games. Why won't it work from the reciever through the hdmi cable to the projector??????

have you left it plugged in, or tried to hit the home menu button and see if anything comes up? sometimes it just takes a while for a game to load up.

Cant use HDMI cable and component cables both together with the receiver......

Try using 2 component cables.....that will work.
