LOL! finally got to play TG-16 games

WHAT A JOKE!!!!!! (imagine maniacal laughter for a few minutes). Can you guys recommend some games for me to play? I would have been PISSED if I threw down the cash for this system back in the day.

I played Splatterhouse first. This could have been done on any system but Atari 2600. Not fun at all. BAD graphics. Bad gameplay.

Next was Vigilante. A 16-bit ripoff of Kung Fu. a 25 year old game. The sad thing, is you are better off playing Kung Fu. I was delighted however with the intro to this game. It actually says "THE SKINHEADS HAVE TAKEN MADONNA HOSTAGE. TAKE THE POWER INTO YOUR OWN HANDS!!".

I played Gradius. I like the idea of a tuned up version of the NES. Wasn't bad, but again, this was the SNES and Genesis generation. It was pretty good.

Blazing Lazers seemed pretty cool at first. But that is the only style of game I foujnd decent, these arcade space shooters. I cant subsist off of 20 arcade shooters. This is one of those games where you get unlimited firepower, and I beat the first 2 bosses without dying and while earning 3 extra men, on my first time ever playing it. You end up holding down the fire button and blowing the hell out of everything, which can become monotonous. Also, the backgrounds are pretty damned ugly and repetitious.

Yo Bro, is the shittiest skating game ever made, end of story. Oh, thats right, they play Beach Boys music the whole time, like kids thrash to the ****ing Beach boys.

Also, they have some hilariously shitty Japanese games, some of which border on child pornography, such as "toilet kids" and then some of the most retarded shit ive ever seen like "wonder MoMO" and "Toy Shop Boys".

I guess the purpose of this thread is to mock this system the we are getting TONS of VC games for, which is total bullshit and also to challenge any TG-16 fans to find me a game that isnt horrific. Ill be open minded. (oh yeah, LOL at Bonk too, it looks like a toddler video game).

If you're not a fan of shmup games don't bother with the system. Other than the crapload of shmups there's Bomberman and Battle Lode Runner. The pinball games such as Alien Crush and Devil's Crush are great too.

If you want to read some articles about the best games for the system you can read up on it here:

Ninja Spirit. Otherwise I think it's to late for you to appreciate TG-16 games, and make poor choices. Watch a youtube video first or something next time.

The shootemups are pretty good as far as shootemups.

I played Soldier Blade. Even though it looks totaly different, just read what I said about Blazing Lazers. The exact same thing happened. 4 bosses and I quit. Same Backgrounds. Hold the fire button and swing around.

Bomberman wasnt that bad. I liked the old bomberman games, but didnt they give us Bomberman '93 for VC? when there's a '94? typical of Nintendo .

Battle Load runner was ok, but I cant really judge these multi player games, if im not playing them multiplayer.

wait, what poor choices? I am playing somebody elses TG-16. Go watch a you tube video? I was just laughing at the fact that I didnt tank my money into this expensive ass system, and I would have thought it would have performed a little better.

Obviously there is more appreciation for a game you played at a young age, that you know HOW to play. That doesnt apply here, this system is ASS.

It wasn't considered crap when it came out. It came out a year before the Genesis if I remember right. It was one of the first 16-bit systems so of course the Genesis and SNES had better technology.

Also, I forgot about Castlevania Dracula X. Since that's been remade for the PSP I'm pretty sure it won't be seen on the VC anytime soon. The thing is the best games for it were released mostly in Japan because of the CD addon which improved what the system could actually do. This system was a failure in the States but a success in Japan.

You know Conan, no one's forcing you to buy TG-16 games. It's like Hudson killed your family and friends, the way you talk about that console. Anyway, they've decreased the frequency of TG-16 releases, so there's something for you to be happy about.

Really? I dont have to buy them? uh, thanks.

Since %50 of our VC games are TG-16, I assumed it wouldnt be the worst system ever, and that I should eventually give it a try.

yes, Castlevania. Who here has played it that? That is what I want to play.

Yeah, the system came out a little earlier, so what. You dont need awesome graphics and sound for a game not to suck.....that's everyones theory on the wii, right? those games wouldnt be fun in 3d virtual reality.

    %50 of our games.

I own a TG-16. Here are a few games worth getting. Bonk's Adventure, Cadash, Keith Courage, Wanderers from Y's(Turbo CD). Cadash is a must for 2 players. It had a steep learning curve, but once you get used to it, the game gets pretty good. Reminder, Cadash was originally an arcade.
