Rising Star Games has today officially confirmed that No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle will be released exclusively for the Nintendo Wii on May 28th in Europe, not May 21st as was previously thought, meaning that we’ll have to wait one week longer than anticipated for the return of Travis Touchdown, pro-wrestling fan and deadly assassin. *Rising Star Games has also released more details about the game, including the fact that it features two new playable characters: Henry, Travis’s twin brother who was once married to Sylvia Christel, and Shinobu Jacobs, Travis’s protégé, whose signature move is the Sonic Sword.
As fans will surely know, No More Heroes 2 has been developed by Goichi ‘Suda51’ Suda’s studio, Grasshopper Manufacture, and has the distinction of being the only sequel that the team has ever worked on. Here’s Martin Defries, managing director, Rising Star Games, talking about the game:
“We’re really excited to announce the official European release date of No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle. The original became a cult hit on the Wii when it released four years ago and the sequel is set to attract an army of new followers. The inclusion of blood also means No More Heroes 2 will be available in Europe the way the legendary Suda51 intended.”
