Take Cover as Heavy Fire: Special Operations Storms WiiWare July 26th

It seems as though the Wii has been all about the fluffy family games for the younger audience in the last few weeks, and while that’s not necessarily a bad thing, gamers looking for something a little more mature will be relieved to hear that Teyon’s arcade shooter, Heavy Fire: Special Operations, will be available to download on WiiWare from July 26th, for just 500 Wii Points. It’s even rated “T” for “Teen” so it must be good!

In the game, players will get to join an elite army and embark on challenging missions in the Middle East either on foot, or in a Humvee or Blackhawk.

As you rise through the military ranks you’ll acquire increasingly powerful weapons, which you can use to rack up combos and to destroy the environment to increase your points tally. If you’re particularly proud of your high scores, you can submit them to the world ranking. The Wii Zapper accessory is supported, but not required.
