Cepia’s interactive ZhuZhu Pets hamster toys have been one of the major successes of the toy industry this year, even going so far as to win the Toy Industry Association’s Toy of the Year Award, so it’s hardly surprising that Activision has come up with a Wii game featuring the ZhuZhu Pets in all their fluffy glory. ZhuZhu Pets: Featuring the Wild Bunch, which hits stores today, expands the beloved ZhuZhu Pets crew by introducing all-new cuddly characters for players to guide as they explore the Zhu-niverse.

Here’s David Oxford, Activision, talking about the game:

Cepia has filled its toys with dynamic personalities, allowing us to be really creative in extending each hamster’s uniqueness. Whether it’s Pipsqueak’s sweet but fearless attitude or Stonewall’s loud and crazy ways, each hamster has a different style to play throughout their grand adventures.”
The initial release of the game comes with Nutters, a Collector’s Edition chipmunk, and fans can expect to pay $39.99 for the limited-edition bundle.
