2K Sports announced today that Major League Baseball 2K11 has finally hit the shops for the Wii. The game features a revamped fielding system, as well as Total Control Pitching and Hitting that enables pitchers to paint the corners with pinpoint accuracy with just a flick of the wrist. An all-new multiplayer mode called Mini-Diamond has also been introduced, which is set in all sorts of crazy venues, from a low-gravity Space ballpark to a madcap Circus enivironment. Home Run Derby is another new feature for the Wii, which enables you to swing your Wii Remote and aim to pull off home runs against the league’s top sluggers. There’s even a bit of empire building involved in the game, with the Franchise mode giving you the chance to either build a championship team from scratch and manage it over the course of several seasons, or to start immediately with a bigger team and aim to win the World Series in your first year!
