Nintendo Reveals Q2 Release Line Up

We all know that things have been a little too quiet on the Wii front lately, but Nintendo of America has tried to bring the spring noise level up a bit with the announcement today of its Q2 Wii line up, and in particular two new Nintendo branded Wii games: Wii Play: Motion and Mystery Case Files: Dust to Dust.

In Wii Play: Motion, Wii owners will be twisting, turning and generally enjoying themselves in a bendy way as they use their Wii Remote Plus controller in a variety of ways, in 12 different games, such as tilting an umbrella to catch a gust of wind, or fending off garden pests by swinging a mallet. Wii Play: Motion comes packaged with a Wii Remote Plus controller to deliver precise motion control that anyone in the household can pick up and instantly enjoy.

Mystery Case Files: Dust to Dust, the second of Nintendo’s in-house productions for Q2, brings the intrigue and sleuthing of Big Fish Games’ Mystery Case Files series to the Wii for the first time. The adventure takes place on the enigmatic Malgrave Island, where players must hunt for hidden objects and solve puzzles to collect a magically powerful dust that is scattered across the island. Use the Wii Remote to examine multi-layered hidden-object scenes, locate cleverly concealed items and obtain inventory items that will help you to overcome brain-teasing obstacles. Players can also team up in multiplayer modes and crack the case together, or face off in a competitive hunt for hidden objects.

Of course it’s a little disappointing that these are the only two Nintendo-branded games due for release in Q2, but don’t forget, the new Zelda game should be coming in the Summer, fingers crossed!
