Majesco Entertainment is bringing those chirpy singing Chipmunks and Chipettes to the Wii this November, just in time for the animated movie of the same name, which will be hitting cinemas on December 16, 2011. In the game, fans get to sing and dance along with the film’s stars, Alvin, Simon, Theodore and The Chipettes (Brittany, Eleanor and Jeanette).

“The Alvin brand has proven to be evergreen with universal awareness and growing appeal,” said Jesse Sutton, CEO Majesco Entertainment. “The extensive customization and combination of dancing and singing to contagious Chipmunk music will deliver a full-featured experience based on the upcoming movie that the whole family can enjoy together.”
The game’s storyline is a continuation of the plot of the movie in which Alvin, Simon and Theodore find themselves on holiday on a luxury cruise liner, which ends up “chipwrecked” on a remote island. Players get to join the trio on their round-the-world journey, visiting six tropical locations inspired by the movie.

Aside from singing along with The Chipmunks and The Chipettes, fans can perform more than 50 different dance moves to electrify the crowd with their on-screen performances. You can also customise your Chipmunk before you hit the stage by choosing from a huge range of styles and accessories.
