ok first. "bangwagon" lol. and how do u guys not like metroid other m i think its been a really fun game so far and i havent finished it yet.(just got it) next the wii u will be awesome. that is all.

The game is fine, but makes it flaws. The biggest one being the damage to Samus' character.

And fear not of the new sony/microsoft consoles. With the Move and Kinect only a year old, they'll keep on milkin that cow until it gets old. Give it about 2 more years.

As far as platformers vs open world stuff goes: Everyone has different taste. Mario galaxy never appealed to me much but NSMBW did as was the case with many others.

As for 3rd party titles just look at the Nintendo E32K11 press conference. They've got (Good) 3rd party titles coming out the butt now.

I don't like Metroid Other M because it may keep Nintendo from wanting make more FPS Versions. I like the FPS Versions better, much better.

Nintendo went from 2D to 3D Semi-Open World with Mario, now to 2.5D Mario. Its a mixture of 2D & 3D (2.5D), which I feel they should pick one; which they apparently have (NSMB) . I'm afraid Nintendo will go back to 2D Side Scrolling with Metroid. Right now, Nintendo is thinking of going into micro-transactions. Just like MS' XBOXLive & PS' Home, you have to pay just to have "fake dog s***" as I will put it. I will hate them if they do.

No dude... just no. You're WAY off. Ninrendo is not, in any distant future, gonna get rid of THEIR MOST SUCCESFUL FRANCHISES for the sake of 2d. And if they did, Mario games would be unaffected.

Oh my god... looking back at these posts makes me realize I'm part of Modest Mouse's "Missed The Boat" song. The whole point I was trying to make at the time was that I'm not a hater, I'm just fed up with the choices that I have. I feel there is not a single option that works for me as it does for many of you. I feel that if I continue with a new console they're are going to continue to burn a whole in my pocket, except now it is a permanent one and I'm not going to resew it until I'm able to manage the flames (what they burn me with or I'm able to afford their options).

The Wii U will continue the early success of The Wii!!! People had reservations about the Wii and it became a hit. Same thing seems to be happening for the 3DS. I got my 3DS and my Wii and a co-worker of mine is still giving me grief over owning "kiddie" consoles! I think it's rubbish. Both systems have enough mature and teen rated games to make them quite balanced. Last as long as Nintendo fins a way for us to port over all our Virtual console, Wii Ware, and Wii memory data I'll be happy since it can play Wii games that should mean that we can transfer the save data, GAME ON!!
