    Mine died as well but i sent it back and got it repaired for free

    Say it with me....EXTENDED WARRANTY.

    Xbox 360s are notorious for getting the red ring of death around the power button. Mine has been replaced once with a refurbished unit. I haven't really had any problems since. The extended warranty is money well spent.
